Luce Ends: May 29th
I'm in a hurry!!! I still need to pack!!!
I know, I know. The audacity of me to hit you with a Summer House Reunion Recap Post/Novel and then send through a Luce Ends the next day is a little overboard, but I’m trying to be consistent, people!!! I’m trying to be a professional!
Lucky for you, I have a flight in the morning (or right now I guess by the time this publishes??) that I still need to pack for plus self tanner to wash off so this will be short and sweet! Which for me still means fairly wordy and full of spelling issues.
This week felt like a roller coaster and guess what? I don’t like roller coasters! But when the entire family has Monday off and you kick off a girls’ trip the following Friday, the three day ride in between seems rather rushed and extremely bumpy—add in the fact that our house is literally upside down right now as we try and pack up over ten years worth of Chicago memories (and crap), it’s a giant shit show over here!
In terms of what’s coming next week…..gird your loins people. Not only do we have Pt 2 of Summer House, we also have Pt 1 of the Southern Hospitality Reunion where we’ve been warned West Wilson’s dick will make YET ANOTHER cameo appearance AND we have Love Island USA (I think UK kicks off next week too but luckily I will be watching that as it hits Hulu and will have a few days to prepare. Basically, we’re in reality TV heaven right now and I haven’t even mentioned RHOA, RHORI and The Valley (the Valley has a lot to prove right now before I’ll group it with the rest of must-watch television) and I’m slightly overwhelmed by my to-do list that doesn’t even include literally packing up my life….

I’ve talked A LOT about TV lately and have left you all hanging on my TBD—that’s partially because TV has been so all-consuming lately, but also because, despite being an avid reader….it takes a LOT for me to stick with a book while pregnant. A LOT.
That being said, summer is always peak season for the romance lovers like myself and I’ve been giddy over my recent orders that are waiting for me to stop packing boxes (I’ve barely done anything) and turn off the TV. (I have been asked to share my throwback faves too and will do so at a later date when I’m not scrambling to pack!)
Dolly All The Time by Annabel Monaghan: I’m savoring this as long as possible because, for me, there’s nothing like a new Annabel Monaghan book to kick off my summer. I LOVE HER. If you’ve never read Nora Goes Off Script, STOP what you’re doing and go download/order/whatever!!!!
Phoebe Berman’s Gonna Lose It by Brooke Averick: I’ve been so excited for Brooke’s debut book—I love her and Connor’s podcast and preordered the minute I heard about this…I can’t even full remember what it’s about but I'm so excited and the reviews are already coming in A+!
Famesick by Lena Dunham: I ordered this book and have left it on my coffee table, assuming I’d get to it eventually. And then this week I listened to Lena on Good Hang (a must listen) and now I can’t wait to start it.
Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke: Okay, I did start this one, but fell off!!! I keep forgetting to reach for it, but I’ve seen the reviews/ discourse/ non stop discussions online and I just feel like I need to see for myself what the fuss is about and finish this one up ASAP.

I’d love to get into the glory that was this reunion AGAIN and share new thoughts….but you’ll have to survive off my initial essay for now!!
