I can confirm that, despite being one of the two adults leading the charge on this move and talking about it openly for several years and even more so the last six weeks….I am absolutely not processing the fact that we’re actually here.
Luckily, Bill has arrived after five days of solo parenting so we can now be in denial together! This does mean I have to stop complaining about my own stress (Coco told dad on MONDAY “mom needs HELP” which wasn’t wrong but had more to do with her wanting me to throw her in the pool), but since he moved everything in a storm, dealt with movers falling down the stairs and drove two cats (one of whom puked and shit himself) and a fish all the way here….
In terms of Luce Ends…as you can imagine, they’re all loose. And knotted. Truly, I’m shocked I even knew what day it was (I didn’t earlier in the week, I can admit that.) But I have some thoughts regarding some love not being found on the island plus I’ve got some links to share so you’re in for a whopper of an edition!
But before we get to that—thanks for letting me bitch and moan all week on Instagram and panic about this move and complain about my life changing week that countless other people have gone through and I’m being extremely dramatic about.

I thought I had mastered the art of moving. My secret has been moe when you’re pregnant and you don’t have to do anything! Bill and my first move really tested our relationship and the Universe said “never again!” so the next time I was unknowingly pregnant and thought I was hungover (aka puked all day and did nothing), the second time I had a toddler to take care of and was three or four months pregnant with Frankie and wasn’t allowed to help and this time I’m over half way through the pregnancy, fully on kid duty. I have reminded Bill that I was not alone in giving me the ultimate Get Out of Jail Free card, but still, I do think I’ve been strategic about this process thus far.
That being said, this time the window between getting the keys and moving day is a bit longer….and it’s driving me insane.
We got so lucky with this house being in great shape, if not a little dated in the bathrooms/kitchen, which we’re waiting on. But when it comes to the girls’ room, crown molding, wallpaper in general…..I’m itching to change things.
Crown molding: some rooms have it, some don’t….I can’t live long without it
Lighting: I don’t know what happened. I’m guessing in the one thirty minute viewing of our house before now, we didn’t actually look at the lighting but now that we have…..dear god is it ugly!!!! Like BAD track lighting and all different and weird shapes and very odd placements on very few canned lighting and I need to replace things ASAP!
I like this little wicker piece, but I need help!!! I will post pics later to show how ugly….
Also my aunt mentioned FAKE canned lighting??? BRILLIANT.
Wallpaper: Wallpaper naysayers, stay away!! I don’t care!!! For those who LOVE….WHERE are we getting AFFORDABLE wallpaper??? WHERE!

Love Island USA (post 45 minute letter reading ceremony/ pre America’s votes thoughts)
I was startled yesterday when I realized I no longer have Peacock. Never fear, we will have cable and Peacock back at some point today, but it freed me of any guilt when it came to missing Thursday’s episode. Not that I had much because….this season is not hitting for me.
I will be hanging on til Casa for the camaraderie of it all, but I think this group of Islanders is just…horny. And I’m all for that, but the problem is most of them also graduated during Covid and I’m thinking that’s why most have little to no conversation skills to speak of so we do nothing all day besides deep throat hotdogs (not a euphemism) and complain about our couples, only to get frisky under the sheets when the lights go out. It’s WILD to watch, an anthropologic experiment (idk if that’s a phrase but you know what I mean) per usual, but an entirely different one.
This is a screenshot from a clip of Thursday’s episode that Hollaback Cards sent me with SCREAMING text because Jen and Gabriel were yet again getting wild in the bedroom—send these people to the Hideaway at the very least!
Anywho, here are my thoughts on the couples as they stand—apparently I missed a SHIT SHOW elimination last night and I don’t know if I really want to know why the internet is so pissed off:
Trinity and Bryce: I wish this week’s vote was individual islanders because Trinity would get all my votes, but because it’s not, they jointly got mine. Trinity is hysterical and Bryce is like a 90s Abercrombie worker and, while I don’t think their connection is as strong as we’re pretending it is, I’m still going to pretend because I love how they gossip.
Kayda and Zach: Just like Trinity, I’ll vote for Kayda as an individual but I can promise you I will NEVER vote for Zach who was definitely coached by his brother and is giving next to nothing now that he got some. Casa will be treacherous for him (he’s pretty much admitted it and I hope it sends his ass packing….unless he does have real feeling for Bryce, in which case I’m voting them to win the whole thing.
Melanie and Insincere: Calling him Insincere is lazy, but it’s all I can muster at this point. He’s said nothing remotely interesting outside of the back and forth nonsense he’s halfassing to both these woman and I just know any Casa girl is going to LATCH onto him because they' know he’ll crack in under five minutes. Melanie has made a comeback in my eyes, though I’m not sure if that comeback is because I’m easing up on her or just dislike everyone else more? Either way, I’m over them but can admit they’re probably a necessary (and exhausting) evil at this point.
Aniya and KC: If I’m being honest…I’m both of them have PMO. Aniya is acting like KC should be proposing any day now, not making small talk with the new Islanders who got pied in the face an excessive amount. And KC…just when I think he’s a good guy, he tends to say something really annoying. When he called Aniya a grandma for going right to bed every night, I was annoyed at both of them—one because Aniya should at least use that time to chit chat and I’m sure listening to every other couple moan the night away is frustrating for KC, but also how dare he say that??? Even if they do jokingly call each other grandma and grandpa, in that context it felt very yuck. I don’t know, I want to root for them, I just can’t fully invest in them because all I've seen are their little bickering sessions!!!
Corbin and Kenzie: Over it. That’s it. ChatGPT and Splitz McGee can buzz off for all I care. You aren’t winning this on my watch.
Sol and Caleb: I do understand that people felt bad for them so they gave them the vote and I will laugh my head off if they get voted favorite couple because EVERYONE will spiral and that’s my only hope for entertainment at this point but….we couldn’t have found two more boring bombshells!! I’m sorry, I don’t care if people were “closed off”, you can bombshell better and they clearly don’t know how to bomb and I’m shocked production even saved them in the first place.
Jen and Gabe: To be honest, probably the strongest connection in the house. I don’t care if it’s because they’re spending their evenings recreating every position from the Kama Sutra book, despite the fact that Jen is a moron….I don’t know, there’s maybe something there???

It’s superior. And this season is hitting all the marks for me. And because of that, I don’t need to ramble on and on about it (I’m also exhausted and don’t have the mental capacity), but I will say—the challenge where the boys threw a hissy fit?? APPOINTMENT TV. The way they sent someone home during a random game??? GENIUS. Jasmine, an icon who looks like she stepped out of an issue of Cosmopolitan in 2003??? I CAN’T GET ENOUGH. I’m actually GIDDY when I tune in each morning and really think, if you’re going to watch one LI this season….it has to be UK.

I don’t trust Yasmine?? I don’t have a good reason, I’m just suspicious and I’m sort of worried about Priya now too, but I’m letting it slide until further notice
I’m still secretly pulling for Lorenzo and Jasmine—sue me!
Mica is starting act out of character (Simba???) but she’s been stuck with Samraj who I do think is a closeted douche for a while so letting it go because I could look at her all day
Lola and Fitzy are kind of boring but I love them and at this rate they’ll probably win and that’s fine with me!!
Simba is HOT but I need him to stay with my princess, Angelista???? Truth or Dare got him acting silly and this kissing game is making me doubt him….I refuse to let him fuck this up after delivering his brilliant monologue to Ope last week

Ellie angry is straight out of a Scottish Mafia and I LOVE IT (I also love that she insists on carrying a purse around the villa—ICONIC AND RIDICULOUS)
